In this Sunday workshop at The Glyde In Community Centre we make two A5 books from scratch using traditional binding methods and your choice of colours. The first book is classic notebook with a hard cover that you embellish yourself using traditional paste painting and gold detail. The second book is a 60 page journal bound together using Secret Belgium Binding technique. This technique allows the book to open flat and features a protected spine and a special fold back feature. This sturdy book is covered with traditional book cloth, has decorative stitching on both the inside and outside covers and includes beautiful, patterned papers on the inside covers.
