The story behind this painting:
Saint Mary Inlet, Point Ann is a quietly beautiful place that may be overlooked by those seeking turquoise waters and clean sand. It feels old, briny, and still. At first glance it may appear dull, spend some time here and you will discover whole worlds of astounding colour. Bright pink salt bush and salmon sands contrast with the murky green glades of the paperbark trees with their stark white branches. I spent a few afternoons here in absolute solitude painting in my sketchbook.
