Summer break 2019 was spent exploring the Great Southern Coastal region. During this period the paperbark trees along Saint Mary Inlet, Point Ann kept demanding my attention and they became my point of focus. This painting is painted from my memory of a cluster of trees that grew on a sand ridge buffeted by the sea winds, all leaning east.
