PRINTMAKING BY HAND
Printing without a press can deliver surprisingly effective and sophisticated results. Using professional inks and papers explore the exciting world of monotype where printing is done without a matrix. With monotype the print is made without etching, cutting or creating a plate – we simply manipulate the surface of printing ink on a Perspex plate and take a print from what we have created. This is a painterly way to print and there are many techniques to discover.
Come along on Fridays to learn how its done. Results are quick so you will be able to produce lots of work. Printing tools and inks supplied. Printing paper available to purchase in class.
