Spring 2021 was amazing, an abundance of flowers were in bloom across the South West corner of WA. This painting is about the blaze of colour seen through the Wandoo trees on one of the first warm days after the long wet winter. The sun was out dazzling the wildflowers and the sound of water from seasonal streams was all around us. This painting celebrates that relatively short window in time when the Perth hills are alive with flowers, water and regrowth.
