I often say that every painting starts with a walk and I will share how my process evolves from being in the bush to creating in the studio. I am interested in how we experience the natural transitions in landscape when passing through slowly on foot. Walking enables us to notice how the landscape changes both subtly and dramatically over relatively short distances. As I walks you around the exhibition you will see how I combines different viewpoints and memories on the same canvas, depicting my personal experiences of some of our special places in the South West.
