The story behind this painting
In 2018 I walked for 6 days on the Larapinta Trail that traverses the Macdonnell Ranges not far from Alice Springs. This painting was produced about a year later and draws purely on memory of place. It was a particularly dry year when I walked the track and the grasses were scorched yellow and much of the red earth was visible.
